[ ] The Truth
All members please keep in mind this board is not made to in anyway insult anyone. We do not condone slavery nor celebrate the past occurence of it in the United States history. So with that in mind here you will find information on the reality of slavery in United States history. It is information that will help you along when you are playing your characters.
Brady Plantation
This family is renowned for their cruelty to non-white races. If you are left working this plantation the only way to escape the life of servitude is death. The property is beautiful making it seem like a glorious place but its only so if your skin is milky white.
[ ] Cotton Fields
This is the main crop grown on the Brady Plantation. It is a pain to harvest as the spores cut finger tips rather easily. The Brady family will never know that though as they only touch the cotton after its been plucked and cleaned. They take all the credit for something they do not even know the pain of.
[ ] Brady Manor
This is the fabulous home of the Brady family that have been rich before even arriving in this country. They are old money and have the attitude that comes with that. They care about no one but themselves. If they did not have their slaves they would not be able to survive but they strike such fear into the slaves that they are too afraid to rebel.
The house is decorated in an old Italian style showing hints of the place the family once resided in. Chandeliers made of crystals hand from the ceiling with their candles lit for events. Curtains of the finest material hang from the floor to ceiling windows. Fields of crops extend all around but their is a small part of the land reserved for the children of the family. Swing sets to keep the kids busy and to make sure they don't get bothered by the help dogs that are trained to attack anything darker than khaki.
[ ] Slave Cabins (2 sub-boards)
This area is to the back of the plantation almost off the property. The area behind it is fenced off to make certain slaves do not escape. The cabins are separated by male and female but age groups are not separated. Even those that work in the field must share a room with those that work indoors. It leads to many fights between the field workers and house workers as the field workers believe the others are more privileged.
Sub-Boards
[ ] Male Cabin
The men are treated even worse than the women as their cabin only has two floors. They are left sleeping almost on top of one another. Sometimes its more comfortable to sleep outside but they run the risk of being mauled by the masters' dogs in doing so.
[ ] Female Cabin
Separated into two floors plus and attic and basement this cabin houses all the female slaves. The prettier ones are kept on the first floor so that when masters enter they can right away pick who they want to warm their bed. An older woman is left with them to care for them whenever the master gets too rough. They don't want their pretty ones dying unless they wrong them.

The Clusters
Land disputes are frequent here but some families have been here so long no one dares defy them. Acres owned by separate people all with so many different names that this place has been coined The Clusters.
[ ] Winchester Estate
It's a very small estate. It only covers five acres of land. There used to be more, but land had been sold off in bits and pieces. The manor house is small and in ill repair. The feilds of tobacco are parched and dry. There is one sorry looking vegitable patch by the house and a peach tree that has not born fruit since the master of the house was a little boy. The property has few slaves and two horses. One of them is old and lame, the other is a high spirited Indian Pony that the Master rode back from the West.
[ ] Kenkade Estate
Just off the coast of the Port City there is an estate that belongs to one of the richest families in the Carolinas. This home ranges over the Native Reservations, not too far from the port. This home is in near plain view of the Cotton Exchange. The house is the pure elegance of Britain and it even has some of it's Scottish arts intact. There is a small turkey farm just about two miles from the home, that supplies North Carolina with fine turkey all year long. The Kenkade are also famous for their shared wine with Sir William Raleigh of Goldsburo. They own thousands of slaves, and cattle, live stock.
[ ] Sioux Reservation
At the border of the disputed lands stand wooden gates to keep rounded up like cattle many tribes of Sioux and other Native Americans. It seems no one realizes that these tribes do not all get along. There are constant disputes between them but the gun of the 'herder' tends to settle them rather quickly. The people here have been promised that they will keep this land but white men seem to be getting closer and closer to their fences with each passing day. Many of them get plucked from their settlement by men with very bad intentions.

Winterborn Fields
This area has been owned by the Winterborn family for many years. In the past it ran rampant with the cruelty of slavery but now with a new master at the helm the ground has become a place of peace. The young Winterborn heir is trying to atone for the pains his family caused the non-white community by bringing the word of God to them. A church now stands in this ground and the fields are worked by volunteers of the Winterborn's peaceful cause. Most of the crops scrounged from the land are donated to rations for slaves and reservations. The sad part is those who do not agree with the Winterborn's ideals come to sabotoge the crops often.
[ ] Vegetation Fields
This is the first thing you will see when coming to the Winterborn estate, lines and lines of crops. These are maintained by the freed men that keep up the illusion of being slaves. These crops are harvested in secret to be passed around for slave rations and used within the Winterborn home itself. You'll find such things a corn growing here bountifully during the right season.
[ ] Saint Boniface Church
A small church built by Winterborn and a few men it serves as the place of worship for the Master. He comes here every day to pray before heading out to try and bring the word of God to others. He kneels upon a set of stairs with thorned roses laid out each day to prick his knees. He believes on must suffer for what they believe. A cross looks down upon him in the image of the savior as the father prays. The stained glass windows depict famed bible scenes. The pews are made of lightly finished woods. The church can only house about one hundred people at a time.
[ ] Savior Missionary House
Here is where Master Winterborn keeps safe those slaves he does manage to rescue. He tries to teach them the ways of the Lord and helps them learn how to read and write. The down side is he has them change their name to an acceptable Christian name. He is both hated and loved by the ones he helps as in helping he does them damage as well. The area is well kept; it was once the master house of the land but now each floor has been converted to have separate rooms that each can house a family of thirteen. The kitchen sits at the first floor along with a living room used as a classroom where Master Winterborn teaches the younger children basic skills.
[ ] Underground Tunnels
These tunnels could be the path to freedom or a suffocating death. Cave ins are frequent under here but so many will take the chance to try and get away from the life of servitude and abuse. The only one who knows the clear path is the master of the estate himself and his trusted willing servant. If you do not have them to guide you then you most likely will not survive.

Only those with enough money can make it here to touch these men.

[ ] Goose Saloon
The building is a bit shabby on the outside looking like a strong wind could uproot it but within it's expansive and sturdy. You can play a few games of billiards, bet on some cards or mosey on upstairs to have a time with a lady that you can pay to love you for the night. Don't get on the madam's bad side though because she has some boys willing to deflate your attitude.
You can get any type of girl here from the willing expert to the virgin sacrifice. White, black, Asian anything you're looking for. You can even get yourself a boy if that's your fancy as long as you have the money to back up that lust.
[ ] Central Market Place
Stalls and stores are set up in a circular formation. Be careful who you speak to as most will try to rip you off. Make sure to haggle prices as most of these merchants can't afford to refuse an offer. The stores are the place you'll most likely get ripped off since some of these are owned by rich people who really don't need your business.
